About the Company
Our client is a fast-growing professional community and membership organization serving thousands of accomplished entrepreneurs and founders who have successfully built and exited companies.
The organization creates meaningful connections and high-quality experiences through local chapters, curated groups, forums, events, workshops, and real-time community interaction.
The team operates with a high level of ownership, moves quickly, works remotely across time zones, and integrates AI deeply into day-to-day operations.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and relationship-oriented Community & Events Associate to help shape the day-to-day experience of a large and highly engaged founder community.
This role sits at the intersection of community management, content, communications, events, and program coordination.
You will own the content calendar, help determine what communications members receive and when, coordinate events and workshops from beginning to end, stay closely connected to conversations happening across the community, and help identify the topics, people, and opportunities that matter most.
This is a writing-heavy and execution-oriented role for someone who combines excellent communication skills with attention to detail, sound judgment, curiosity, and a genuine interest in people.
Why This Opportunity?
You'll have the opportunity to work closely with a community of thousands of experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders while having a meaningful impact on their member experience.
You'll also join a small, fast-moving remote team where:
- You can take meaningful ownership early.
- Your ideas and observations can directly influence programs and communications.
- AI is actively used to make work faster and more effective.
- You can see the measurable impact of the campaigns, events, and initiatives you manage.
- There is significant room to grow based on your strengths and interests.
What You'll Do
Content & Communications
- Own and maintain the community content and communications calendar, determining what goes out, when, and why.
- Write, edit, and refine communications sent to members while maintaining a clear, natural, and consistent brand voice.
- Build, test, and send email campaigns.
- Select and manage appropriate audience segments for different communications.
- Review campaigns carefully before launch, including links, formatting, dates, names, and other details.
- Track campaign performance and identify what content and messages resonate most strongly with members.
- Share insights and recommendations based on engagement and performance data.
Events & Programs
- Coordinate virtual and occasional in-person events from planning through execution.
- Create and manage registration pages, reminders, logistics, and event-day support.
- Promote events to the most relevant members to drive attendance.
- Coordinate speakers and workshops, including scheduling, confirmations, logistics, and run-of-show preparation.
- Manage program communications including applications, deadlines, participant updates, and waitlists.
- Follow up with attendees and participants after events.
- Track which events, speakers, and topics perform best and use those insights to improve future programming.
Community Engagement
- Stay closely connected to daily conversations happening within the community.
- Develop a strong understanding of what members are discussing, asking about, celebrating, and struggling with.
- Identify recurring themes, community wins, concerns, and opportunities for meaningful member connections.
- Welcome new voices and help encourage thoughtful participation.
- Provide first-line community moderation when needed.
- Escalate situations requiring additional review or decisions to the appropriate internal team member.
- Proactively identify members who may benefit from meeting or connecting with one another.
What Success Looks Like
First 30 Days
You'll focus on understanding the community, its members, communication style, tools, and existing programs.
You'll begin supporting campaigns and events with guidance from the team.
By 60 Days
You'll independently manage much of the weekly communications calendar and take greater ownership of events and program execution.
By 90 Days
You'll have a strong pulse on the community and proactively surface what members need, what topics are gaining traction, and where the organization should focus next.
How We Work
AI-Assisted by Default
AI is an important part of the team's workflow.
You'll use AI tools to help with first drafts, summaries, reporting, research, organization, and repetitive tasks so that more of your time can be spent on judgment, relationships, creativity, and execution.
You should already be comfortable experimenting with AI tools and interested in becoming even better at using them.
Attention to Detail Matters
You'll be communicating with thousands of experienced founders and business leaders.
Small details matter.
You'll be expected to catch incorrect links, formatting issues, outdated dates, inconsistent names, typos, and other mistakes before anything is published or sent.
Async and Remote
The team works remotely across multiple time zones and communicates heavily in writing.
You'll be expected to:
- Share updates proactively.
- Flag blockers early.
- Manage your time effectively.
- Take ownership without waiting for constant direction.
Measure and Improve
Your work doesn't stop when a campaign is sent or an event ends.
You'll review what happened, understand what worked, identify what didn't, and help the team improve the next iteration.
Tools You May Use
The organization currently works with tools such as:
- Customer.io or similar email marketing platforms
- Event management platforms such as Luma
- Notion
- Google Workspace
- Slack
- ChatGPT and other AI tools
You do not need previous experience with every tool listed above.
What matters most is your ability to learn new tools quickly and figure out how to use them effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written English, with the ability to communicate naturally, clearly, and professionally.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Ability to adapt to an established brand voice rather than imposing your own writing style.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, events, communications, and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Proactive working style: you identify what needs to happen and take action.
- Strong interpersonal skills and genuine interest in building relationships.
- Comfortable communicating with entrepreneurs, founders, executives, and senior professionals.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism.
- Comfortable using AI tools as part of your everyday workflow.
- Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
- Willingness to communicate openly when blocked or when something requires additional attention.
Preferred Qualifications
These are helpful but not required:
- Experience with Customer.io, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Braze, or a similar email marketing platform.
- Previous community management or moderation experience.
- Experience managing communities through WhatsApp, Slack, or similar platforms.
- Event coordination experience, either virtual or in person.
- Experience supporting a founder, investor, executive, professional, or membership-based community.
- Previous experience working remotely and in an asynchronous environment.
- Experience tracking engagement metrics and using data to improve communications or programming.
Why Join Us?
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants more than a narrowly defined coordination role.
You'll have exposure to a highly accomplished entrepreneurial community while developing experience across:
- Community building
- Content and communications
- Events and programming
- Email marketing
- Member engagement
- AI-enabled workflows
- Performance measurement
- Relationship building
Because the team is small, strong performers will have opportunities to take on increasing responsibility and grow into the areas where they demonstrate the most strength.
This is a remote/telecommute position.
