About the Company
This opportunity is with a leading privately held premium consumer goods organization recognized for building and marketing a portfolio of globally respected brands. With operations across multiple international markets, the company combines a strong global presence with a long-term focus on innovation, commercial excellence, and sustainable growth.
While supported by the resources and stability of an established international organization, the local commercial team operates with the agility, ownership, and entrepreneurial mindset of a startup. Team members are expected to take initiative, make decisions, adapt quickly, and contribute directly to building the business.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Modern Trade & Marketplaces to lead commercial strategy and execution across Mexico’s most strategic modern retail accounts, including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco, and leading e-commerce marketplaces.
This executive leadership role is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, strengthening strategic customer relationships, leading Joint Business Planning initiatives, and ensuring strong execution across pricing, assortment, promotions, visibility, and category development.
Success in this position depends as much on mindset as experience. We are looking for someone who thrives in entrepreneurial environments, enjoys building from the ground up, and is willing to take a hands-on approach to execution. This is not a narrowly defined corporate role. The selected leader must be comfortable wearing multiple hats, working directly with customers, visiting the market, solving operational challenges, and moving between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.
Candidates currently residing in Colombia are encouraged to apply, provided they are willing and able to relocate to Mexico for the role.
Why This Opportunity?
  • Lead one of the organization’s most strategic commercial markets in Latin America.
  • Build partnerships with Mexico’s largest retailers and marketplace customers.
  • Shape commercial strategy for a globally recognized portfolio of premium brands.
  • Experience the agility and ownership of a startup backed by the resources of a global organization.
  • Take on a visible leadership role with significant influence over growth and market development.
  • Expand your international career by relocating to Mexico and leading a high-impact commercial operation.
  • Join a culture that values initiative, adaptability, accountability, and hands-on leadership.
What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco, marketplaces, and other strategic modern trade customers.
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth, distribution expansion, market share, and profitability across key product categories.
  • Identify new business opportunities and lead commercial initiatives aligned with company objectives.
  • Build annual customer and channel plans that support long-term business growth.

Customer & Marketplace Leadership
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior customer stakeholders and executive decision-makers.
  • Lead Joint Business Planning initiatives that support mutual growth and stronger commercial partnerships.
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements, investments, promotional plans, and customer terms.
  • Position the company as a preferred strategic partner within assigned accounts.
  • Maintain direct involvement in customer meetings, field execution, and commercial problem-solving.
Commercial Execution
  • Ensure effective execution of assortment, pricing strategies, promotional calendars, visibility, and category initiatives.
  • Drive Perfect Store standards and commercial excellence across assigned customers.
  • Monitor account performance and implement corrective actions when results fall below expectations.

  • Balance long-term strategic planning with the practical needs of building a growing market.
