Location: Remote — Colombia

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Legal Assistant to support a growing U.S.-based personal injury law firm specializing in motor vehicle accident cases.

In this role, you will provide administrative and legal support to attorneys, paralegals, and case managers, helping ensure cases move efficiently through every stage of the legal process. You will play a critical role in maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with clients and third parties, and supporting case preparation while following established legal workflows and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment where accuracy, communication, and attention to detail are essential.

What You'll Do

Legal & Administrative Support

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and legal support to attorneys, paralegals, and case managers.

  • Draft routine correspondence, legal letters, and internal documentation.

  • Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.

  • Upload, organize, and manage documents within the firm's case management system.

  • Assist with general administrative tasks that support legal operations.


Case Documentation & File Management

  • Request, organize, and track medical records and billing documentation.

  • Prepare case summaries, timelines, and supporting documentation as directed.

  • Gather and organize documents required for demand packages.

  • Maintain detailed case notes and ensure all case information is accurately documented.

  • Monitor deadlines and ensure assigned tasks are completed on schedule.


Client & Third-Party Coordination

  • Conduct follow-up communications with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and other third parties as assigned.

  • Assist with property damage documentation and related communications.

  • Coordinate document requests and follow up to ensure timely receipt of required information.

  • Support smooth communication between legal staff and external stakeholders.


Compliance & Process Management

  • Follow Georgia-specific personal injury workflows and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Ensure documentation complies with internal quality standards and legal requirements.

  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive legal and client information.

  • Support attorneys and case managers in maintaining efficient case progression.


What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working in:

    • U.S. Personal Injury Law

    • Legal Administration

    • Legal Support

    • Litigation Support

  • Previous experience supporting U.S.-based personal injury law firms is strongly preferred.

  • C1 English proficiency or higher (written and spoken) is required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong administrative, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to follow structured workflows, scripts, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to work during U.S. Eastern Time (EST) business hours.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using legal case management software such as:

    • CASEpeer

    • Clio

    • Filevine

    • Similar platforms

  • Previous experience supporting attorneys, paralegals, or case managers.

  • Familiarity with:

    • Medical terminology

    • Personal injury treatment timelines

    • Insurance claims processes

    • Legal documentation standards

  • Experience managing multiple active matters while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
